Objectives
Students will be able to
- skip count in 9s up to ,
- draw models to represent and solve multiplication sentences,
- use known multiplication facts to find multiples of 9,
- find missing products and factors in multiplication sentences,
- identify and apply patterns and strategies when multiplying by 9.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- the relationship between multiplication and repeated addition,
- modeling multiplication with arrays and equal group models,
- multiplying by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- solving word problems,
- multiples of 9 greater than 90.
