Lesson Plan: Observational Studies
This lesson plan includes the objectives of the lesson teaching students how to write the standard form of the equations of conic sections with rotated axes that are no longer parallel to the coordinate axes.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- identify confounding variables in observational studies,
- identify lurking variables in observational studies,
- distinguish between observational and experimental studies,
- identify cross-sectional, cohort, and case-control studies,
- interrogate the relationship between correlation and causation.
