Lesson Plan: The Squeeze Theorem Mathematics
This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to use the squeeze (sandwich) theorem to evaluate some limits when the value of a function is bounded by the values of two other functions.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- understand the squeeze theorem,
- apply the squeeze theorem to functions combining polynomials, trigonometric functions, and quotients.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- the concept of limits.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- differentiation.
