Lesson Plan: Methods of Asexual Reproduction Biology

Objectives

Students will be able to

  • distinguish between asexual and sexual reproduction,
  • give examples of asexual reproduction, including binary fission, budding, regeneration, sporogony, parthenogenesis, and tissue culture.

Prerequisites

Students should already be familiar with

  • cell division (mitosis).

Exclusions

Students will not cover

  • details of how the tissue culture process is done.
