Lesson Plan: Plotting Scatter Graphs
This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to plot scatter graphs and determine if there is a linear relationship between the two variables.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- plot or identify scatter graphs given a table of data values,
- identify the type of correlation shown, if any, by a scatter graph.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- drawing line plots.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- lines of best fit,
- identifying strong and weak correlations.
