Objectives
Students will be able to
- express proper fractions as percentages,
- express improper fractions as percentages,
- express mixed numbers as percentages,
- express fractions given as parts of a diagram as percentages,
- perform basic arithmetic with fractions and convert the result to a percentage,
- solve word problems involving converting fractions to percentages.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- percentages,
- proper and improper fractions and mixed numbers.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- percentages to fractions,
- decimals,
- ordering numbers,
- irrational numbers.
