Lesson Plan: Relative Speed Science
This lesson plan includes the objectives, prerequisites, and exclusions of the lesson teaching students how to determine the speeds of objects relative to other objects.
Objectives
Students will be able to
- distinguish relative motion from absolute motion,
- recall that relative speed is the distance moved relative to an observer in a unit of time.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- calculating uniform speed.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- velocity,
- acceleration,
- graphs.
