Objectives
Students will be able to
- identify monomials, binomials, and trinomials,
- understand the definition of a monomial, binomial, and trinomial,
- find the degree of monomials, binomials, and trinomials,
- understand that terms with negative and fractional exponents are not considered monomials.
Prerequisites
Students should already be familiar with
- writing algebraic expressions.
Exclusions
Students will not cover
- algebraic equations,
- simplifying algebraic expressions.
