Lesson: Maps: Comparing maps and Globes Science

Students will be able to

• define the equator, the poles, and the Northern and Southern Hemispheres,
• define globe,
• identify bodies of land and water on a globe,
• locate the equator and the poles on a map and globe,
• identify the Northern and Southern Hemispheres on a map and a globe,
• compare and contrast the characteristics of maps and globes.
