- define the terms producer and consumer,
- identify producers and consumers in ecosystems,
- identify what producers need to make their own food,
- describe the importance of producers in ecosystems,
- identify and describe the three types of consumers: carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores,
- define the term decomposer and identify examples of decomposers.
