In this lesson, we will learn how to count up and down in a given fraction from any starting number and record the sequence using either mixed numbers or improper fractions over the same denominator.

Students will be able to

  • use number lines to model sequences of fractions,
  • add and subtract proper fractions, mixed numbers, and improper fractions in sequences,
  • identify missing numbers in a sequence,
  • find the rule for a sequence.
