Lesson: The Appendicular Skeleton Biology • Third Year of Secondary School

Students will be able to

• describe the structure of the appendicular skeleton, including the pectoral girdle, the pelvic girdle, the upper limbs, and the lower limbs,
• describe the joints and connective tissues of the appendicular skeleton,
• recall that bones develop from cartilage and know the difference between cartilage and bone,
• outline the roles of the ligaments and tendons.
