Students will be able to

recall that DNA is contained in prokaryotes in the form of a chromosomal loop and plasmids,
describe the structure of plasmids and a chromosomal loop,
compare the arrangement of DNA in prokaryotic cells with that of eukaryotic cells,
use knowledge of prokaryotic DNA to suggest ideas about the evolution of chloroplast and mitochondria.
