Lesson: Money (1 SR, 5 SR, 10 SR, and 50 SR) Mathematics

In this lesson, we will learn how to skip count and count on to determine the value of a collection of money, such as one SAR, five SAR, ten SAR, and fifty SAR.

Lesson Plan

Students will be able to

  • recognize the front and back of the 50 SR note used in Saudi Arabia,
  • count in 1s, 2s, 5s, 10s, and 50s to find the total number of riyals,
  • write the total amount of riyals using the correct symbols,
  • make given amounts of money in riyals,
  • count an amount of money to determine whether a priced item can be bought.
