Students will be able to
- define what habitats are and why they are important for living things,
- understand that habitats vary in size,
- identify and compare different types of land habitats, including grasslands, forests, deserts, and arctic tundras,
- understand what is meant by the term diverse with respect to habitats,
- understand that living things are adapted for the habitats they live in,
- recognize examples of these adaptations.
