Lesson: Temperature in Fahrenheit Mathematics

In this lesson, we will learn how to compare temperatures in Fahrenheit, read data from charts, and use appropriate words for describing temperature such as “hottest” and “coldest.”

Lesson Plan

Students will be able to

  • recognize that a thermometer is used to measure temperature,
  • recognize that temperature can be measured in degrees Fahrenheit,
  • recognize that higher temperatures are warmer and lower temperatures are cooler,
  • estimate temperatures,
  • solve simple problems about temperature in Fahrenheit.
