Lesson: Changes in State Science • 2nd Grade

Students will be able to

• describe temperature as a measure of how hot or cold something is,
• describe how heating or cooling matter can cause it to change state, such as melting or freezing a popsicle,
• identify and describe melting, freezing, evaporating, and condensing using water as an example,
• identify changes of state as reversible changes,
• identify some changes that are irreversible, like frying an egg.
