Students will be able to
- describe temperature as a measure of how hot or cold something is,
- describe how heating or cooling matter can cause it to change state, such as melting or freezing a popsicle,
- identify and describe melting, freezing, evaporating, and condensing using water as an example,
- identify changes of state as reversible changes,
- identify some changes that are irreversible, like frying an egg.
