Lesson: End Times to the Nearest Five Minutes Mathematics • Third Year of Primary School

In this lesson, we will learn how to model durations on analog clocks or number lines and count in fives to find the end time of events in minutes.

Lesson Plan

Students will be able to

calculate the end time where the start time is shown on an analog clock,
calculate the end time where the start time is written digitally,
use number lines and skip counting forward around clock faces to work out end times,
solve problems where start times and durations are given and it is necessary to calculate the end time.
