Students will be able to
- understand that a counterclockwise rotation is represented by a positive angle and that a clockwise rotation is represented by a negative angle,
- rotate points, line segments, and shapes about points given the center of rotation and the measure and direction of the angle of rotation by constructing an angle,
- identify the image of a point, line segment, or shape after a given rotation,
- understand that rotating an object counterclockwise is equivalent to rotating it clockwise.
