In this lesson, we will learn how to write a family of subtraction facts linking three numbers up to 10 and model them with part–whole models.

Lesson Plan

Students will be able to

  • understand which part of a subtraction equation represents the difference,
  • write multiple subtraction equations for a model,
  • write subtraction equations with the equal sign before or after the subtraction symbol.
