Students will be able to

• recall that light rays travel in straight lines,
• recall what is meant by the “normal” to a surface,
• recall what is meant by the term angle of incidence for reflection and identify it on a diagram,
• recall what is meant by the term angle of reflection for reflection and identify it on a diagram,
• recall that for reflection off a flat mirror, the angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence,
• interpret ray diagrams of reflections off a flat surface,
• measure angles using a protractor,
• recall that for reflection of a light ray off a flat surface, the incident ray, the reflected ray, and the normal all lie in the same plane.
