In this video, we will show you how to complete an exam assignment.

We will demonstrate how to do this in a web browser, but note that you can also access these features in a similar way using our fantastic Nagwa Study app.

To complete an exam assignment, you must have a student account and be signed in to www.nagwa.com.

First, click on “Assignments” in the toolbar, followed by “Exams”. If you have been assigned any exams by your teacher, you’ll now see a display of all of the exams that you have been assigned.

Each exam will be represented by a box containing information such as the title, the number of questions, and the start and due dates of the exam assignment.

Note that an exam assignment is a timed exercise. This means that once you start the assignment, you’ll only have a limited amount of time to submit your answers to the questions. Once this time runs out, you will no longer be able to edit your answers.

For each assignment, you’ll be able to see the status in the top-right corner of the box.

For any new exams, you’ll see the status “New” in the top right, alongside the duration of the exam. In this example, our exam assignment has a duration of 90 minutes.

At any time between the start date and the due date of our assignment, we can begin the exam by clicking the “Start” button.

Once confirmed, you’ll be taken to the exam itself.

You’ll be able to see the exam timer at the top of the screen. It is worth noting that the timer will continue to count down even when you are not actively working on the exam assignment. This means that you can leave the exam page and come back, but the exam countdown will not pause. Make sure you are ready before clicking “Start”!

For the exam, each multiple-choice question is displayed on its own page. Once you have picked one of the multiple-choice answers, make sure to hit “Save” and you will automatically progress to the next question.

Unlike with a worksheet, once you start answering the questions, you won’t receive instant feedback. Instead, you’ll need to input your answer and then click “Save”.

If you don’t know the answer to a question, you can also skip it by clicking “Next Question” in the bottom-right corner.

On the right of the page, you will notice a grid of buttons that allows you to freely navigate between all of the questions in the exam. From here, you can go back to any questions you skipped or jump forward to see the later questions in a paper.

By default, each of the questions will appear as a gray button, but once a question has a saved answer, the button will turn blue.

Using the grid, you can also return to questions with a saved answer and change your answer using the “Change” button in the bottom right. This allows you to edit your multiple-choice answer and save it once again.

Once you’ve finished working on the exam and have saved all of your answers, click the “Submit” button in the bottom right. Don’t worry, if you click “Submit” while there is still time remaining, or if you accidentally close your browser window, you can easily return and edit your answers.

Back on the exam page, notice that the status of the exam has updated to “In Progress” and the action has updated to “Continue”. Clicking this allows you to finish working through the questions.

Remember that you only have a limited amount of time to continue answering the questions. We recommend not leaving the page so you can easily keep track of the time limit.

Once the timer runs, all of your saved answers will automatically be submitted, and you will no longer be able to work on this exam assignment. Back on the “Exams” page, the assignment will be marked as “Expired” and you will have no further available actions until the due date is reached.

Once the due date passes, the status will update to “Closed”. You can return to this page to see the results of your exam assignment by clicking on the “Report” button.

Alternatively, you can access exam reports from the dashboard. Click on “Dashboard” and then “View Report” under “Exam Assignments”. From here, you’ll see a full list of all of your completed exams along with the summary statistics for each exam.

If you would like to see the answers from a particular exam in more detail, click “View” on the right-hand side.

Each report shows the correct answer to each question highlighted in green alongside your answers so you can evaluate your progress.

If you found any questions particularly challenging, you might find it helpful to watch one of our lesson videos or practice some worksheet questions at your own pace. You can use the search bar at the top right of the screen or ask your teacher for advice on where to find the best content for your needs.
