(Update2) Rewrite the expression six
multiplied by 46 plus six multiplied by 49 using distributive property.
In order to rewrite the expression,
we need to find a common factor between the two terms. In this case, the common factor is
six. This means that we can factorize
out a six.
To work out what goes inside the
parenthesis, we need to look at what six was multiplied by. In the first term, six was
multiplied by 46. Therefore, the first term in the
parenthesis is 46.
In the second term, six was
multiplied by 49. So our second term in the
parenthesis is 49. The addition sign that was between
the two terms needs to also go in the parenthesis.
Therefore, the expression six
multiplied by 46 plus six multiplied by 49 can be rewritten six multiplied by 46
plus 49. The six that was originally
distributed with the 46 and the 49 has now been factorized outside the
parenthesis. (Update2)
